Thank you for being a part of a fantastic event in San Diego. The 2008 BIO International Convention, produced by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), wrapped up with 20,108 industry leaders – a 36 percent increase from the last time the convention was held in San Diego, Calif. in 2001. Attendees hailed from 70 countries and 48 states, as well as 4,270 attendees and exhibitors from California. Read our closing press release for further details.
BIO’s new podcast series, Biotech Now, includes audio and video from the convention – and much more.

Along with BIO Staff, volunteers are essential to the success of the convention. Thank you to the many onsite volunteers who donated their time and energy to the success of the 2008 BIO International Convention, without you we could not make the Global Event for Biotechnology.
The onsite volunteers are wearing sky blue shirts at the event. Please extend a thank you when you see them.
Special thanks to the Volunteer Recognition Sponsor, Invitrogen Corporation.
